On July 25, the General Administration of Customs published a number of typical cases of IPR infringement, covering the protection of trademark rights, copyright rights, patent rights and the exclusive right of the Olympic logo of domestic and foreign owners, covering automobile parts, children’s toys, clothing, shoes and hats, sanitary products and other fields that affect people’s lives, health and safety. Statistics show that from January to June this year, customs authorities seized 22,500 batches of goods suspected of infringement and detained 45.27 million pieces of goods suspected of infringement.
In March 2022, when Hohhot Customs under Erlian Customs inspected a batch of general goods declared for export, 144 toys were found to be suspected of copyright infringement and 288 toys were found to be suspected of trademark infringement. After investigation, a Nanjing import and export Co., Ltd. made an administrative penalty decision to confiscate the infringing goods.
