Disney recently released its teaser trailer of The Little Mermaid starring by Halle Bailey which has caused quite a stir on the internet. Ariel, the fun-loving and mischievous little mermaid is back. The Birth of Venus by Sandro Botticelli, the Italian painter of the Early Renaissance, depicts Venus naked on a scallop shell on the seashore of Cyprus. Commissioned by one of the Medicis, Lorenzo di Pierfrancesco de Medici, a cousin of Lorenzo the Magnificent, The Birth of Venus was painted in the 1480s, one of the most celebrated and iconic artworks in entire art history. STORY OF THE BIRTH OF LITTLE MERMI
Far out in the sea where the water was deep, the birth of six mermaid princesses was expected. An air of excitement stirred the underwater current. As the six scallops gradually opened up, the six mermaid baby princesses were seen for the first time. The crowd of sea creatures gathered around held their breath in awe at the sight of the representation of pure innocence and beauty. Duly they were named as were proper to mermaid princesses, but an endearing name was given by the sea creatures who adored them since their birth – Little Mermis. They are commonly seen accompanied by their sacred sea animals of pufferfish, starfish, crab, dolphin, seahorse, and octopus.
